(Photo via DOA)The Department of Airports (DOA) will introduce cleaning robots as well as provide Wi-Fi services from April next year under plans for a technology upgrade to regional airports. Department director-general Darun Sangchai said cleaning robots will be initially introduced to some of the 28 regional airports run by the DOA, such as in Udon Thani, Khon Kaen and Krabi. The robots will later be put into service at the other airports on a gradual basis, Mr Darun said. Currently, free Wi-Fi services are available only at some airports such as Udon Thani, Surat Thani, Buri Ram, Narathiwat and Hua Hin.
